Rehearsal

During term time we meet every Wednesday evening at Betchworth Village Hall, Station Road, Betchworth, RH3 7DF.

What happens at a BBCS rehearsal?

George and Anna lead us in a warm-up, which involves waving our arms and legs about, stretching, breathing and singing exercises. We then spend the rest of rehearsal time working through the repertoire for our next performance. Sometimes we split into smaller groups when we need more focussed rehearsal time.

Rehearsals run from 7:45 to 9:45 pm with a welcome 10 minute break mid-rehearsal for notices, tea/coffee and catching up with friends.

Social

On the first Wednesday of each month we meet for a drink at the local pub after rehearsals. We organise quiz nights and once a year the choir comes together for a fun evening - our so-called 'soiree' - where we entertain each other with anything from barbershop singing to solo instrumentals, poetry reading to stand-up comedy.
